Review Adventures On Mars - Free Mars OD&D Rules

The other day I was zipping around the excellent Original D&D Discussion board when I ran across this thread  Adventures on Mars For Free Download. Really something brand new! I'm always on the look out for new Mars stuff!
You can read about it Here. A quick note about the Original D&D Discussion Forum, this is a damn fine bunch over their who don't have nearly enough members in my humble estimation. These aren't nasty 'fatbeards' or whatever but a solid bunch of players & DMs.
Anyhow took a look at this interesting little piece of OD&D Martian addendum. Its actual title is Adventures On Mars -An Addendum To Doc's Excellent Warriors Of Mars Rules!
I headed over to Scribed which is where this free beast is being hosted( I honestly hate Scribed but that's got nothing to do with the content) & downloaded it.
Holy Hanna! This sucker is 33 pages of pure Martian goodness! Here's what's be tween the pages New Character Types, New Monsters (Lots & Lots Of Them!), Lovecraftian Monsters adapted for Mars, Encounter Tables, Technology & Treasure, Martian Super Science, Indescribable Martian Super Science Artifacts Generation Tables,The Barsoomian World & Wilderness Adventures, Etc.
Another quick note about this: This pdf is done in the style of  original Dungeons & Dragons which means with a little modification you can use this with Labyrinth Lord, Mutant Future, Carcosa, Swords & Wizardry, Crypts & Things, & Terminal Space.
I read through this pdf in less then an hour & reread sections of it enabling me to think through a few problems in my current game!
In my estimation this is one of the best things to come out with Doc's rules! Here

Adventures On Mars rules go into the cultures of Barsoom, customs, background, & lots of little things that we call fluff. I call this stuff essential to playing in a Barsoomian game especially if your making Mars your own!
This is a well written easily laid out pdf. No nonsense, straight to the point read.

The final section is Mass Battles on Barsoom betraying the wargaming roots of TSR's late great original rules that these supplements emulate.

Finally you wrap up with a glossary & beautiful campaign map.

I give this 4 out of 5 for a free no nonsense supplement
.
