Also known as the grey men these humanoids are actually a form of adapted & genespliced humanity that has mutated due to contact with the higher angled dimensions outside the normal space time continuum.
These creatures seek the flesh of their former creators. They have spread to many worlds as invasive species & as fodder for bio-weapons programs. They make perfect shock troops or so it appears at first. These creatures are devilishly cunning & only wish harm to any human or near human they come across. They are cannibalistic by nature & may breed with human stock. Those captured male or female will be used as such.
The monsters breed very quickly with a 1 month gestation period & a very quick child hood of only six weeks. Even as children they have the quick claws & vicious bite for which they are known. They can & will use melee weapons. The more intelligent will use energy weapons.
There are psychics among them mostly telepaths who are used by the pack as telepathic hunting animals. The chance for psychics is 50% among the population.
They are known to call down several extra dimensional beings of whom they worship mostly of the vile type among them the Great Old Ones.
All in all a very unpleasant species of humanity that breeds quickly & kills without reason. There are legends that their origins may date back to the atomic fires of old Earth but this is mere speculation.
Originally from the Nightlands,
The Night Land is a classic horror novel by William Hope Hodgson, first published in 1912.
